n 'Hikinuki' published by ChanakyaMandal Mandal Pariwar : Collection of poems by Dr. Bhooshan Kelkar published on July 16, 2006, in Pune at the hands of famous young Marathi poet Shri. Sandeep Khare. Shri. Avinash Dharmadhikari presided over the function. A poem was presented in the function and its music compositor was Dr. Salil Kulkarni. A short film preaentation was done explaining the Japanese concept of 'Hikinuki'.

n Dr. Bhooshan Kelkar joined as a trustee : of ChanakyaMandal Mandal Pariwar in the meeting held on July 30, 2006 in Pune.

n Appointment of full time faculty members : Chankya Mandal Pariwar appointed 3 full time faculty members, making a team of total 6 members. They are as follows : 1) Dr. Sunil Dhapte (worked as RTO for 19 years), 2) Mrs. Jai Wakchaure (selected as Section Officer in Mantralaya), 3) Mrs. Archana Galande, 4) Miss Gauri Shewale (selected as Finance and Accounts Officer), 5) Shri. Santosh Hinge, and 6) Miss. Rahi Kanade.

n Public get-together on Bio-technology and Bio-Informatics : was organized by ChanakyaMandal Mandal Pariwar on July 4, 2006 in Pune to explain the increasing scope of these fields as a career. Dr. Bhooshan Kelkar and Dr. Gauri Gholap addressed the students gathering.

n Clinical Trials and Bio-technology – scope of career : a public gathering was organized by ChanakyaMandal Mandal Pariwar on August 12, 2006 in Pune to explain career options in this field. Dr. Bhooshan Kelkar and Shri. Sarang Vinze addressed the meeting.

n YCMOU degree courses started at ChanakyaMandal Mandal Pariwar : BA, BCom, Journalism, MA (Sociology) degree courses have started at ChanakyaMandal Mandal Pariwar. These are the UGC sanctioned degrees offered by this Open University. Anybody passed his / her HSC exam from any board can take admission. Migration certificate is not required.

n UPSC  Prelims results are out and Mains course started : 13 students of ChanakyaMandal Mandal Pariwar have cleared the UPSC Prelims. The Special Mains course has been started.

n 190 students of ChanakyaMandal Mandal Pariwar selected through MPSC : 190 students out of total 364, have been selected in final results declared by the MPSC recently. First among all boys and first among all girls, both are from ChanakyaMandal Mandal Pariwar. 8 out of first 11 students are from ChanakyaMandal Mandal Pariwar. Out of these 190 : 8 students – Deputy Collectors, 15 students – Deputy Superintendent of Police, 51 students – Desk Officers in Mantralaya, 18 students – Tahasildars, 13 students – Taluka Inspecters of Land Records, 1 student – Asst. Regional Transport Officer, 8 students – Finance and Accounts Service Group A, 17 students - Finance and Accounts Service Group B, 59 students – Nayab Tahasildars.

n Success of our faculty members : Mrs. Jai Wakchaure who is student, volunteer and full time faculty member of ChanakyaMandal Mandal Pariwar has been selected as Desk Officer in Mantralaya. She also works as the Asst. Editor of our magazine. She is closely associated with us for last 7 years. Another full time faculty member in ChanakyaMandal Mandal Pariwar Miss. Gauri Shewale also has been selected in the Finance and Accounts Service. ChanakyaMandal Mandal Pariwar is proud to announce the success of both these volunteers.

n Crowd management in the Ganapati Festival : As per every year our students did hard work for 5 days in Pune’s Ganapati festival. All of them worked with full dedication even after the possibility of some terrorist attempt.

n Problem faced because of UW Bank moratorium : Due to the loan taken from  United Western Bank for building construction, as per their rules all our funds had to be deposited with the same bank. As on this date we have fully repaid the entire loan We have repaid the loan of 66 lac Rs. in 4 years which was sanctioned for 10 years. But we received the “No Dues Certificate” from the bank only before 1 day of the moratorium order. And now all our funds are locked up due the Reserve Bank’s order. But ChanakyaMandal Mandal Pariwar will emerge successfully through this problem as it has been from many other problems in past 10 years.
