History


ChanakyaMandal Mandal Pariwar is a Public Charitable Trust duly registered and recognized by the government.
[ Reg. # E / 2409 / Pune]

1996 : ChanakyaMandal Mandal Pariwar was established by Mr. A. B. Dharmadhikari and his colleagues after
Mr. A. B. Dharmadhikari resigned from IAS - Indian Administration Services, in 1996 after ten years of distinguished service.

ChanakyaMandal Mandal Pariwar considers itself honored to have had Ms. Kiran Bedi (IPS) for the foundation as the chief guest on August 10, 1996.

1998 : The headquarter building of ChanakyaMandal Mandal Pariwar was inaugurated at the hands of Late Pandurangshastri Athawale, our dear 'dada' and Rushi Prabhakar of SSY on 5th October , 1998.

Gujrat Earthquake Relief Work

t January 26, 2001 earthquake hit Bhuj and Kaccha the state of Gujart

t 170 of our students voluntarily went to Kachha, Bhachau and nearby villages of Gujrat to help the victims

t We helped them by building tents, clearing debris and cleaning roads

t Donated tents and clothing

Tsunami Relief Work

t December 26, 2004 Tsunami hit the southern part of India

t 110 of our students voluntarily went to TamilNadu to help the victims

t We helped them by building tents, clearing debris and clearing roads and public places

USA Tour of Shri. Avinash Dharmadhikari

t Between October 16  to November 9, 2004. His lectures were organised at different places.

These places : Kansas city, Chicago, Milwaky, Boston, New Jersy, Copel, Dallas, San Hoze (Bay area), Freemont, Los Angelis, Cietle.

Dr. Bhooshan Kelkar and Shri. Kaivalya Chandratreya had organised this tour.

Shri. Avinash Dharmadhikari spoke about how NRIs should contribute in India's future. He never asked for any funding, which was highly appreciated by all. People were eager to know about his experiences in government service, why he left that and about the work he is doing these days.

Kashmiri Students Visited ChanakyaMandal Mandal Pariwar

t Kashmiri students visited ChanakyaMandal Mandal Pariwar in 2002 for a Yatra named "Operation Sangam". National integration through cultural exchange was it’s main aim. Nearly 100 students from Kashmir visited under the leadership of General Patankar.

A.B.Dharmadhikari Visited Kargil During War

t Our Director Shri. Avinash Dharmadhikari visited Kargil in1999 when it was on fire, the undeclared war. ChanakyaMandal Mandal Pariwar had organised blood donation camps for our slodiers figiting the Kargil war. These camps were organised with the help of Southern Command and Armed Forces Medical College, Pune.

Study Tours of Our Students

t ChanakyaMandal Mandal Pariwar had organised study tours of students to study the national issues : In total 42 of our students participated these tours. One group visited

Israel (Reema Sisodia visited to study this gutsy nation)

Punjab (to study Khalistan issue)

Kerala (to study communist administration over there)

West Bengal (to study a long term communist regime over there)

TamilNadu and Karnataka (to study Kaveri water dispute)

Gadchiroli (to study Naxalite movement)

North-East states (to study terrorism and agitations over there),

Uttar Pradesh (to study Babari Masjid and Shahabano issues)

Kashmir (to study hottest issue of infiltration)

Writers' Workshop

t ChanakyaMandal Mandal Pariwar had organised Writer’s Workshops in August 2000 and September 2001. These workshops were organised to develop creative writing skill among youths. We always encourage our students to express themselves in an impresive manner. Around 170 students participated in these workshops. 

Awareness Building Campain For 'Right To Information'

t Took initiative to raise this point in public life. Moved judiciary so that people get the right to information. Organised mass campain through the state of Maharashtra. Formed citizens committees.
